Sharkey, my boss currently runs a STV/2.5 Merc and he'd like to go to an open-bow boat that would still offer some speeds in the 60-80mph range with his existing motor. As you know, the STV is a 2-person boat and now that he's a family man he'd like to have a boat that the family of 4 can use. Any ideas?

Very interesting method of construction. Would it be correct that vinylester resin is used for laminating the separate pieces and the epoxy resin is used to assemble the pieces and install the bulkheads? How much overlap is involved in the joints of the assembled sections?

Is he from East Coast or West Coast? Alot of open bow boat Mfgrs out west. As you can see, this company can build anything custom that he may need. It really depends on how much $$$ he wants to spend. There is NO CHOPPER GUNS in this shop!!! All quality materials are used there. It makes for a much nicer longer lasting boat..

David Judging only by the pics, it looks to be about 8 inches or so...

Tim- I thought you took the pics! J/K But I was going to ask more Q's on the lamination schedule and what was used as far as cloth for the splice. Any available info would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm sure there is a combination of Kevlar and Tri-Directional fabrics involved...
