Sunsation,
It is nice to see another manufacture concerned about CG and "set up". What have you learned you can share? Where is the ideal LCG? Is it a % of hull length? What is the ideal positioning and the length of the strakes for overall top performance? Top speed? I am a believer that the performance in a HP sport boat is all about the bottom. You have the fit in finish wired, your investment in bottom design should propel your company to the next level. The more we know, the better chance Sunsation has in selling us a new boat.
Keep us posted on your new 36' project!

I'm sure the set-up will be as good if not better than the 43 when it is all said and done. Nice to see them moving along on new projects when other builders have had to cut back due to the economy. Says a lot about their loyal customer base when they are willing to help fund projects like this.

Wayne puts alot of thought into his hull designs, I am sure he scarifices a little speed to have a really safe boat that won't pitch its passengers. Can't say that some of the other guys!

The 36' project is moving right along! Special thanks to all the people and employees that have donated countless hours towards this project along with Mike Griffith from Mercury Racing.
Sunsation is using Tres Martin as a consultant to develop the 36 hull running surfaces. Tres will be making a few trips to the factory before the 36 is released.
These guys are making so much progress on the plug that there is a ton of update pics from the weekend so I've attached a few pics here and here is the link to the Sunsation forum for a complete update.
