I have an 1980 Cigarette 28 SS with twin 350's and TRS drives.
I will be installing some new TRS and wanted to know if the drives should be towed in or out?? the props will spin outward.
Does anyone know the correct setup for this application?
Thanks
AC

Are you running 3 or 4 blade prop?
Thanks,

AC I read somewhere that TRS drives will last forever if you run them toe in 1/4 to1/2 in and I think it was also recommended to spin the props out, better handling a little more stabile at speed. I think Audiofn tried them spinning in on his formula and didn't like the results . IT is also important not to load them up and should stay away from 4 blade props if at all possible. when you set the toe in don't just use the tie bar also adjust linkage inside the hull unless you are running external steering.Hope that helps. If you don't put more than 600 hp to these drives and change gear oil at least once a season they shouldn't give you any trouble.
