Can anyone tell me the size of this stud, and the thread size. I recently change the belt and noticed one of these 2 was missing. However, the remaining one has the threads kinda tore up so I can't get a good replacement and I don't want to cross thread something. I've tried an M10 and a 3/8, and neither one of them go on there.

These are stainless steel and made special by Merc.

You should consider keeping the water out of your bilge, you've got way to much rust and corrsion going on down there and its usually caused by letting to much water getting in through leaks and such and then sloshing around while your running. If you are running in saltwater consider washing out the bilge with fresh water and some WD40 after use to slow this problem down if you can't stop the leaks.

Thanks for the responses. All fresh water, I'll have to clean up some of that corrosion though. I'm the same guy from the other thread about the leaky exchanger. I fixed that, but I think that was the leak that caused all the corrosion damage.

Thats nothing...you should have seen the chitbox I worked on today!! It made this guys engine look new.
