Unhappy Help need speedmaster 2 parts

My buddy blew his right hand speedmaster #2 lower. Looking for parts or maybe a whole drive. I told him not to hold his breath, but I would start looking.

Those parts are HARD to find, Especaily Right Hand drives!
I have a complete Left Hand Drive, (had to Buy a pair just to get a RH), and 2 Complete Uppers, and a Mercury Racing Shortened Upper.
Also have lots of Prop shafts.
You can E-Mail me @: [email protected]
I only know of one place you can call, he had a complete #2 RH lower last year (716)693-6604 Eastpier Marine, Ask For Alex, and tell him Ron told you to call!
Good luck, i have been on the SSM #2 search many times!
RON...

Mike-
Speedmasters Inc and Cobra Power had a few #2 parts also. Your buddy might want to consider upgrading to (at least) a 3. Sometimes you can find used packages for not much more than a good #2. BTDT. Contact me if you need more info.

And no, still haven't tested those new props. Storms again this coming weekend!

Thanks John, I will pass along the info. I think the 3's are out of the question. He doesn't have enough excess power to turn a 3.

Sounds like you need to get a speed rated umbrella if you are going ever get the props tested.

A real large canopy would be nice!

PS: thanks for the funny joke about the Canes fan!

this might soudn really crazy but if he can't find any SSM2 parts he could sell his good SSM2 and the good parts in his bad one and put TRS drives on. It will rasie his x-dim an inch but they should bolt right up.

Puder,

I have already told him about that option. He is worried that with a TRS it will not get on plan. I told him I thought it would plan out better if he ran a good 4 blade prop. Never thought of selling the other drive though. Good idea, I will tell him.

thanks
