Thats probally my brother in law on his 32'slowboat, whenever I have been out with him while I drool over the 38' boat flying by he is giving them the #1 sign. Maybe its all those years of me doing circles around my sister while she was trying to sail in the harbour.

There is a reason that Stu likes to keep everyone in a some what organized formation. The areas that these guys were "goofing around" in are very shallow outside the markers and he (Stu) doesn't want anyone to run aground and ruin their trip to the Keys. Ever hear of Environmental Damage. You better have it on your insurance policy if you go boating in the Keys. If you happen to run aground and call TOWBOAT/US they are REQUIRED by law to inform the Marine Patrol before giving any assistance you. Last I heard the fine for Environmental Damage was $500.00 per square foot, a boat traveling at 60mph is going to go a long way up in the sand or Seagrass. Say you went 100' up in the sand/grass, with a twin screw boat that's a 3' path, 3'x100'x$500.oo= $150,000.oo. That would ruin your weekend huh?
