anybody know the difference between one wire 1 1/4in hose,that you can get at any marine store,,,and the orange- 1 1/4in hose thats merc uses on its 496 engine,,,can the orange hose hold a bend,,,from the sea strainer to the raw water pump????

The orange hose might kink if the bend is to sharp. The black hose is alot more durable.
