Pull up pins on both sides then remove rear crossmember. Don't forget on the side of the ramp.

Some have hinges where you pull one pin and swing it open to launch/retrieve your boat and yes, if you close the guard you need to do this every time you launch/retrieve your boat.

I have mine rigged to swing open flush with the side of the trailer and pin it in the open position and leave it open till I get the boat loaded up that way it is open and I won't forget to open it after large quanties of drugs and alcohol.

On the pins made a hand size handle on them for easy removal.

On the front added a ladder and cut out tool boxes and 2 spare tire holders.

Also added a wireing plug so I can swing the gate either right or left

V.V.,
so in the open/pinned position it actualy opens 270 degrees? If so pretty cool. I dont want to JINX myself but I'm looking to pick up my new/used boat this sunday it has a drive guard, looks like one side is hinged. Dont know har far it will open but 270 degrees would be great. And pinning it in the open position and forgetting to close it wouldn't be that bad....not that you would remember it anyways with all that booze, reffer, and crack
