I have a pair of perfectly running 540's, and was wondering if anybody would want to trade for some 700hp or bigger motors that are in need of work???????? Looking to trade straight up.

I really dont know that much about them, the builder is going to be sending me the specs. But I do know that they only have about 15 hours on them since the were rebuilt, and I just checked the compression on them when I put it away for the winter and it was right around 170 on all cylinders. What do you have in mind??? I am right in Plainville, and the boat doesnt get winterized cause it stays in a climate controlled building, and I just fire it up every other week through the winter. So it is nothing to hook it up and run it. Or if your crazy enough put it in the river and take it for a blast.

Well, I have 525 Hawk Blower motors. They are 454's. One motor needs a freshen up. Still runs with 70 lbs oil pressure, but making a noise. So, needs to come apart. Dont think these are something your interested in, but maybe I can blow these out and go naturally asperated? Dont know what your lookin to get for 540s, or anything about them, but was something I was considering. Any idea how much HP they make?

They were never put on the dyno, but the engine builder said he would bet his house on them making over 550hp, and they are most likely around 600hp.......they push my 33 powerplay up over 90mph going through trannys, and #4's, so that should tell you something i guess.

I really dont know about a cash deal because right now I have nothing to replace them with. I mean if I could steal a pair of 700+hp motors, then I would give somebody a great deal on these too......
