Default Ilmor MV-10 650 + indy drive on a Fever 27

Does anyone know if there's any major work needed to accomodate such package?
For instance, considering that my current 496 takes most of the engine compartment length, I suspect that the Ilmor could not fit...

I would think that a 27 with that power would chine walk really bad. My friend has a 1998 27 that has an HP500 with a 250 B&M sitting on it and it tops out around 80 mph, but it chine walks so bad it will scare the chit out of you once you get around 78 mph. I would think with 650 hp you would be in that range where the boat would want to chine walk a lot.

I don't think their is enough room for a V10 in a 27?? I would double check before you purchase, a 525efi was very close to the back seat.

roughly 3 inches longer.......but you'll be in trouble, the package utilizes our transmission also.

Yea I don't think their is 3" there, saw one with a whipple on it and they had to rout out the back seat

I would love to see a new 29 Fever with this package

Yep, I knew that, hence the "+ indy drive" in the title...
Do you mean it's the block alone that's 3 inches longer?
How does the package MV10+indy compare with the 496+bravo?
And what about the transom hole and the engine mounts?

From the inside of the transom to the front of the 650 is ~43".

Not a personal stab.... I can't figure out why so many people say that this boat walks. I have not driven the NON-stepped 27 but the one I have has never done this.

It does require a little bit of driving but I can take both hands off at 80+ in reasonably calm water with no one else around...

Even at 86 it rides incredibly well for this small of a boat.

Do you know what his blower takes it up to in terms of hp?? I assume 100hp or more increase??

I agree, it does Chime a little above 76mph but nothing a little experienced driver can't correct. I feel some over trim may be the culprit (driver error) than the boat itselt. Any boat over trimmed at speed will bounce.
