I hope you guys can help me out. How do you determine which generation engine you have. I have an 1989 Baja with a 7.4 V8 Bravo. The cover on top of the flame arrester has a serrial number 0c603221. Thanks for you help

if the engine is original it's a gen IV but on a 89 who knows...# there would just mean they put the flame arrester back...you can get the casting # off the back of the block behind right side head facing up....does it have a mechanical fuel pump ?

It's a Mark IV, with cast internals, small peanut oval heads.
