OK,

Here is our favorite drink here in Franklin County, and yes Franklin county is where Smith Mountain Lake is

That's too bad!

The damn guv'ment just has it's panties in a wad because it can't get it's dirty, greedy little hands on its cut of the profits!

Kind of sucks having to pay up to 55% in taxes!

My grandfather used to make some pretty mean plum and peach cognac...rest his soul!

"oh moonshine oh moonshine oh how I love thee,
yer killing me ole father but you'll never kill me!!
I'll eat when I'm hungry, I'll drink when I'm dry
and if moonshine don't kill me I'll live til I die!!!

my favorite song!!

I see nothing wrong with making a little 'shine for yourself and maybe a little "home grown" to go with it.
How about making it legal to make limited quantites like home brewed beer and wine?

Well, the problem is that it is too difficult to make a descent profit on beer and wine...It just requires too much space, equipment and investment.

Spirits on the other hand can be very lucrative...And the damn government want it's tax money!
