I am looking for any information on the company

I was looking at 4340 BBC 4.250" stroke crankshaft. Who makes it?

The Callies compstar is thier budget crank and is made offshore, and finish grinding is done by callies. They are pretty affordable cranks, and I was told by Sunset race engines that they have used them up to 1000hp with great results.

That was my first choice the Callies compstar.
I building a pair of 496's strokers and would be happy with
450HP

I wonder if the crank they advertise is Cast Steel? Or forged steel from China?

Howard's are also forged in the U.S. and ground by Callies.

Sunset had nothing but good things to say about the compstar. They and I would prefer to use a dragonslayer or a magnum from callies, but compstar fit in the budget. Callies does a first rate job grinding cranks, and i feel they would not risk their name on a crank if the quality was sub-par.

I bought a Magnum last year and was told it was forged in Japan, just like the one I bought in 1999. Their opinion, best steel comes from Japan...

If you are only looking to get 450 HP why bother stroking?
