Extreme states they never used Kodiac brakes???? some one must have changed the whole set up. I had purchased 2 kodiac 250 calipiers and they dont line up to the calipier bracket correctly? I called Kodiac and they say 250's should work....but they dont. US1, the kodiac kits they have use the new style cmb 133 7&8 brackets wich are totally different than my cmb 133 6&7. I have pics but dont know how to up load them? any help?

this is what came off. you can see some older marks off the original calipier. The New/old kodiac 250 calipier doesn't line up to the mounting holes???

if it did mount up you can see the gap between the calipier and the bracket. All the force of brakind would ride on the calipier slider bolts, that should not be.

Your bracket looks just like mne. I didn't see any numbers though from looking on the back side. As you can see, my caliper is located pretty snug within the 'ears' of the brackets. Not sure what's up with yours.

Are the others showing the same gap, or just this one?
Man that Photobucket is a pain to see the pictures w/o the ads poping up over teh pictures. Almost gave up looking.
The websites show both the 6/7 (7k axles) and the 7/8 (8k axles) both using the same 250 caliper.

the 5200/6000 use the 225 calipiers. everything else use's the 250 calipiers. US1, thanks for taking the time to check yours and take pics
I really dont know what happened to this trailer but I know what to do to fix it....all new calipier brackets cmb 133-7 and all new 250 calipiers, plus seals and maby bearings. I'm just mindboggled that someone can actually do this to a trailer and think its ok to drive with no working brakes.
