1996 7.4 mercruiser starter elect hookup

do i put the battery red lead to the solinod first then the fuse and the orange and red wires to it or visaversa

Red to big pole on starter, red / pur to solenoid.

See diagram. Never mind the colours, I changed them to suit me. Just look at the routing (to / from)
