if i were to install a hp merc bravo 1 gimbal ring will i also need the helmet ? or should i buy the gimbal and helmet kit from merc as a unit ? reason being is i need to repair or replace my wore ring (steering pin excessive wear) and would like to upgrade if going through the motions . thanks guys in advance!

If you're reparing a gimbal, you may want to check this guy out- www.jrmarine.com . I used Ron's method on my 24Super and couldn't be happier with the results. Saved me alot of $ and he is a good guy to deal with.
