Sifting though 353 transom pics...I noticed some have horizontal mounted K-planes. Did the factory change over, was it an option depending on power or is what I saw after delivery?

Factory changed over to horizontal about 3 years ago based on their F-2 race boats input.Supposed to turn betterunder race conditions.For pleasure use,no big deal.
