Default Corpus Christi race the same weekend as Ozark's Shoot-Out?

I just heard a rumor that there is a APBA race in the works for the same weekend as Shooter's Shoot-Out! It had something to do with making up for a cancelled race or something.

Man I sure hope the "powers at be" wouldn't do that!! In fact it would be awsome if they made it for the weekend after the Shoot-Out so a few of the teams could travel to the mid-west (Ozarks) and then down south (Texas) and be able to do both!

All this after Powerboat announced that they were going to help sponser the Ozarks Shoot-Out and even put the Cover of their Magazine up as the Grand Prize!! It sounded like this year was going to be the best yet, but what now?

Kilokat- Now that you are racing ABPA are your going to go to Texas or the Ozarks?

What about everyone else?

I'm pretty let down, cause the Shoot-Out has always been my favorite event to attend!!

Thumbs down I hear ya dude!

It's killing me! I always look forward to doing the Shootout every year. Last year, both Powerboat and HotBoat were there. It was great!! Not only for those of us that got to compete, but for the recognition of the time and hard work that goes into this event, and all to benifit the Ozarks area Fire/Rescue/EMS agencys. Now, this year, Powerboat is doing it up in style, only to lose some boats due to somebody in Texas wanting to change race dates.
This really blows!

Hi Gordo,

Enjoyed meeting you and H2OCowgirl while you were in Fort Lauderdale. Thanks for taking that engine to Bruce.

Next time you're in town, let's get some boating time in

Best of luck in your upcoming races! Be safe!!

Steve

Question To many activities!

Here's two more things to throw out for the same weekend! Both events are being sponsored by Poker Runs Magazine. The 1000 Islands poker run on the St Lawrence river and Highport Marine poker run here at Lake Texoma! Lots of boating events all scheduled for the same weekend. What happened that there is so much going on at the same time?

I'm confused???
Poker runs america has two poker runs the same weekend as the Shoot-Out?

If that's the case then everyone will be hard pressed to get a good turn out.

Default Two more events the same weekend?

And one of them right there in Texas? Bummer.
Wonder if Elaine's aware of these conflicts?

Steve,
Enjoyed meeting you also. Was our pleasure to help out.
And I'm always in for boating !!
Thanks,
Gordo

Funhome

I definately will be at the ShootOut! It's always proven to be a fun-packed action weekend. I don't think any real performance boater would miss it if they have ever been there.

Hopefully APBA won't schedule a conflict. If anything, it would be nice if they would get involved like Budweiser and Powerboat has. Either way, I think this year's ShootOut has the potential to be as big as any offshore or pokerrun event.
