Default Holley Vs Demon?

I am looking to upgrade carbs on my boat and do not know what direction to go.I currently have single 850s on 177 blowers and want to go bigger staying with a 4150 style carb.Is there a site out there with real world #s for flow on holleys/demons?I am looking at the 1000+ holleys but have read this is not true. Are demons a better choice?I want the most airflow from a 4150 i can get in a off the shelf type carb.Any help would be appreciated.

Just have your 850's tweeked by Nickerson Performance. He should be able to have them flowing close to 1000cfm.

I am very interested in this topic as well. What motors do you have the blowers on? I am putting 177 blowers on my 454's for my winter project. I'm trying to figure out what carbs to get. Both Holley and Barry Grant recommended 750's. You are looking to upgrade from 850's?

Any info or recommendations wouild be appreciated!

Forget the 177's You'll like the sound and the little power boost but you'll be wanting more. The 250's or better yet the 420's will give you enough where you'll be satisfied. Just so happens that I have a set of 250's available. Complete fron intake to air cleaners, carbs, linkage, everything you need.

You are cracking me up man! I've been searching these forums for all the info I can on 454's, 177 blowers, etc. and all the threads I pull up have a post on there from you trying to sling your 468's and your 250 blowers.

Believe me I would love to grab ahold of that setup, however cash is a little lean and I already have the 177's. You could definitly be a salesmen if you ever want a career change.

Some lucky dude is gonna end up with a nice setup though if you can get someone to spend the money. I wish you luck brother, its not easy these days.

LOL, it's amazing to me how hard it is to find a buyer for these engines and blowers. I'm just trying to get them out there everytime I hear of someone remotely needing a pair or one. Meanwhile my new engines should be finished in a few weeks. These are taking up too much space. Thanks!

Glad you're finally looking to put a little more power to that thing! While you're at it try to add a decent breathing aftermarket exhaust system....not absolutely neccessary when adding a blower, but a better breathing exhaust over the stock Merc stuff is always an improvement---especially when adding more power. Anyway, all the best to you and your project. Mark/KAAMA
