Default 496 HO Engine Cowling

I'm considering an F&M Custom Cowling to improve the looks of my 496HO. http://www.customcowlings.com/ . Does anyone have any feedback or experience?

I have them on my 496's. They are starting to crack from the vibration. I also have CMI's so we had to raise them up for all the relocation stuff to fit under the covers. Would I do it again, probably not. However, they do look nice!

Interesting, where is the cracking occuring? Do you have pics of the issue?
F&M talks about robust construction

Great idea, looks sweet and is obviously cost effective. Any prep, brand of paint? etc.
From the pic looks like a spray gloss finish, temp resistant too?
Thanks!

Did you tape off or reuse your decals or get new? Where did you get new if you went that way?

Thanks
.

I did the same to mine using Krylon X-metals with the base coat and have had no issues. I taped the decals and outlined them with an exacto knife.
