Hey Guys

I am thinking about picking up a VHF radio over the the winter for my 24ft Baja, I boat mainly in the 1000 Islands area of the St Lawrence River [both Cdn and US sides] any input on what to look for? I really have NO knowledge of these units, and HOPEFULLY will never need it, but, would like to have one just in case

I got one from West Marine, Fixed mount. You have to look at placement and what you want out of it. There are also some that work with a GPS plotter if you ever have a distress call.
