I guess the fishermen will like it. The roads getting down to that ramp are pretty narrow. Never been up in Mallows bay by water, not sure how much water is their either. We got a ramp at Friendship(Nanjomey creek), and a ramp at Smallwood(Mattowoman creek) so they put this one right between them. Actually I think its closer to Smallwood. Would have rather seen them use the funds to improve exsiting waterways. Like dredging out Port Tobacco creek, or Mattowoman, so something bigger than a Bass Boat can use Smallwood at low tide. Your tax dollars at work.

GooseBay is getting bad too, at low tide, not to mention the ramp(s)

I was wondering why that stuff had been sitting at the marina so long.
Looks like they are set up to dredge some. Down off Chapel Point rd, at Capt. Billy's old house, they are setting up a place to dump the spoils. Rivers frozen, the ice will keep them from doing anything. The state is dredging from Fourth Point into the last day marker at the Port Tobacco Marina. Mona has to pay to have the RV resort, and Marina done privately. Was supposed to get done last winter, till the guy ran off with Mona's down payment to get started. Mona put a lein against his dredging equipment that he left at the marina to recover part of it. Their is a work bardge tied up at the marina, so we shall see.

The RV Resort is on their own. Mona bought the whole property from the Bowie/Stinnetts, made it in to a RV Resort and then sold off the lots in "condo" fashion. He still owns some lots and holds the financing on others, however he doesn't have any thing to do with the RV Resort other than being another lot owner.
The RV Resort reached out to lot owners and to the home owners along the water to try to get it dredged on our dime, most weren't interested. This is a one time deal- the RV Resort falls under the permits Mona already has and it will never be cheaper than now when the manpower and equipment are already there. I'd have to go back and look but think the number was only $20K. I'm still trying to get a special assessment done at the RV Resort- haven't made the push since they haven't started but will as soon as the first scoop of spoils are dug up. 85 lots / $20K is only $235 each- to get 4' MLW all the way around!!
Last I heard, they were going to do the ramp at the RV Resort and the spot between the RV Resort and the road leading to the restaurant at that "Y" in the river. I'm at 5' with a 1.6' swing between the tides where I'm at, love it to be deeper but with outboards can get in/out in all but dead low tide. That Y is my only issue really- have to hit the throttles, then let off for the bow to drop so the stern can coast over the hump while hugging the RV Resort side- amateurs please don't attempt...
Oh yea- Mallows Bay, what a waste of $$....
