Powdercoating

Anyone have good/bad experiences powdercoating timing chain covers and oil pans?? Any info would be appreciated.
My valve covers are powdercoated with good results but wondering about the temp with oil pans.

I'm not a big fan of powdercoating. I purchased a powdercoated battery box from an OSO vendor and it has ALL flaked off. A friend has valve covers with the same issues. I think powder coating looks great when new, but question the "longectivity" of it. If I had to do it again, Awlgrip! Just my opinion.

Depending on the generic type of powder / epoxy/ hybrid/ polyester etc... you will have a limit of about 280-310 F. Lighter colors will change colors quicker than darker colors. Each powder manufactuer will have slightly different numbers. Bottom line is powder will work fine. Pop the hood on any brand new car and if it is a color under the hood it is powder coat, exceptions being plastic parts.
Adhesion is a completely different problem and is rarely the fault of the powder itself.
