As I sat at the Tiki Bar last evening sipping an ice cold beer, toes wiggling in the snow white sand, looking at the sea of sailfish flags from the days catch gently blowing in the beautiful ocean breeze, seemingly dancing in tune with the sounds of the reggae band, I thought how thankful I was.
Thankfull to all of my great friends from NY, NJ, MI, and even as far away as Alaska. They emailed me, called me, PM'd me etc. all in an effort to remind me it was colder in south FL last weekend than where they were. I know this was done out of genuine concern for my well being and for that I am truly greatful. How would I ever have survived eight days of winter without the warning? Enough of the sentiment, I need to get to work....now where the hell did I put my sunblock?

that was awesome, been in side for two weeks now freezing my azz off put in logs on the fire every 2 1/2 hours. every time I step out side to get more wood my new knee freezes up. I NEED A GREASE FITTING for it. I hope it won't cook my joint during the summer.

LOL,, I used to do the same thing when I was in Miami,
now here I am in central texas where we last week it was 11deg in my neck of the woods..
I am glad the Tiki bar/Holiday Isle is still there, they sold it 3 years ago to some real estate developer scumbags that planned tearing that whole island down to make some stupid mega richdouce resort for the rich and shameless.
They went bankrupt thankfully and for now the Tiki Bar lives.
Glad to see there are still places for the average guy to park his boat,drink a brew and enjoy the Keys .
