I have a 20'7" Eliminator V Bottom with pad, 454 Magnum CMI Headers Bravo drive 28" 4 Blade Bravo nose cone, raised drive.
Runs rock solid @ 82 MPH on GPS (under perfect conditions, no back seat, cold weather, under 1/4 tank)
Runs amazing.
But wondering what can be done to kick up a notch or two.
Currently no hydraulic steering, so not sure of thespeed limit of stock steering?? Busing where upgraded, and play is as new now.
Not sure what a 502 MPI magnum would add?? currently my motor stock is 360 HP, and the 502 is 415 HP both + my headers, as they fit both blocks.
Esthetically for my motor I could add a polished high rise manifold, but not sure if that would do anything, beside look cool (my motor is exposed all the time, no cover)
Blower, not comfortable putting that much push on my old motor, I feel it would granade.
Lookl forward to hearing some ideas and input.
P.S. Anyone have an idea of how fast this boat can safely go??

What I'm wondering, before I put any extra time and money into the boat, what could the boat do with the HYD steering, and maybe 415 HP 502 MPI with my CMI headers.
Or do I just look for a tunnel?

it's not about the bushings and pins, It's about the cable and helm assy. letting go at thoughs speeds. the tiller arm sys. was not designed for more than 60-65. a 415hp 502 whould probably push you up close to the 90 spot, there not a lot of boat there, It could probably use a set of tabs aslo. If you are looking for high speed #'s, you may want to look into a cat.
