I have a friend needs a boat pulled from nationals yard in florida to michigan or somewhere close, could meet in ohio. boat is on a trailer, weight 11k. anyone interested pm me with price or info.

Just a recommendation, but you're probably better off paying someone that actually does this for a living and has liability insurance. It's nice to save a couple of hundred dollars here and there, but if the boat weighs 11k pounds it probably wasn't cheap. I'd make sure the guy doing the pulling had insurance to cover anything that happened in transit.

I agree, many boats heading south for winter, may be able to catch a return trip and sve money. If it was 5000lbs I could help, but to pull 11,000lbs better get a dually.

I agree it should be only be pulled by a professional. I would not trust an expensive boat to a stranger or friend of a friend trying to a get a cheap rate. Insurance and liability are a couple of minor issues....

Uship.com most shippers have insurance and the rates are competitive

it is a 28' searay sundancer cruiser on a triaxle trailer, i might be a little high on the weight, prob around 10k max, i will pass along those contacts, he got a quote from someone but i thought it was awfully high, high enough that if he wasnt a friend i would have gone and gotten it for the $

If you want a comparison, my Step dad had a 42' Eagle hauled from FL to MI and it cost him around $1,100. He did not have a trailer and they used a hydrolic trailer to haul it, but I'm not sure how much difference that makes.
