Default Images of a New Yacht Concept - A HUGE Departure!

Someone sent me these photos, but I think I saw a review of this project in a recent Robb Report or ShowBoats International magazine. What are your thoughts?

Feadship already has a yacht like that with a similar bow design. Do a search for Feadship Predator......

The Axe-bow design as shown here allows the yacht to slip through the waves instead of shouldering them aside, reducing slamming and increasing speed.

The downside is lots of water on deck, requiring lots of drainage.

Cat is right Discovery had a special on Yachts a few months ago and they have proven it is more fuel efficent to slice through than spread and flare a wave. However the desing has flaws if done on too small a ship, bow can go through allowing a massive amount of water to come on bow.

True. Look at a lot of the war ships and even Battleships at the turn of the 1900's.
