Default ECU reprogram

I currently have a 2000 502 MPI with a Vortec supercharger. The motor runs idles and has performed perfectly for about 150hrs. I would like to add a bigger camshaft more suitable for a boosted engine. Curently its using a MEFIV ECU. Looking for iinformation on a facility to tune the ECU forthe new configuration.

Do not send off the computer for this.....send the entire engine!! (unless you want the practice of building an engine TWICE. It's just too risky IMO)

Mark Boos at Precision Marine does great work.

I have done both. The first time I sent the computer to Arizona Speed and Marine it worked well for about 250 hours and I freshened the motor. The second time I had Tyler Crockett dyno the motor he does it fully dressed as it is installed in your boat, exhaust and all from the first pull to the last we picked up 200 HP and a little better in tourque. Dyno is the way to go.

Mark at Precision is the guy. He has tons of saved calibrations so he will find one that works for you.

Speaking from personal experience, if you want more horsepower, pull the heads and get them ported and cleaned up. Call Bob Madera at 585-654-8583 for a custom cam.

Then build a crate and send your completed motor down to Mark at Precision, where he will dyno tune it to run perfect and make the most power.

I have used him personally so if you have any questions, PM me.

Yes sir Mike. The water is the real dyno. Which makes the case for tuning in the dyno AND the boat.
