I have a Formula 311 that the water pumps are a difficult to get to, especially the starboard one. Does anyone know what the best crank mount raw water pump would be to replace the stock ones? What hoses would I use to go from the cooler to the water pump? These are stock 420hp 454's from 1988. I have a sea straner that is mounted in front of the engines.

betcha wish it was the pump in your 302, easy to get at.

Audio, Try looking at a older Volvo set up. They ran most of there pumps off the cranks and had the preformed hoses that fit to the accessories. If I was at the shop I think I have some part numbers? Pete

You will need to get the bracket that holds it inplace from either volvo or marine power. You also will need longer bolts to mount it to your dampener.

Jon, try looking @ the Jabsco-ITT engine cooling pumps/they mount on the crank/ and have 1.25 barbed hose ends. ck out the model # 50410 flange mount style. J -
