Default Dredging Port Tobacco Marina

Saw dump trucks going in and out of Shirley Blvd. so I followed one in to see whats going on. Looks like they have started dredging around the marina. Their was a big yellow digger working while sitting on the road into the resturant.

Nope.....we only got about 17 inches. Would be nice if the sun would melt some of this stuff.

Did they lift the no drinking on your own boat if you tied to their dock rule yet.

Not sure who was running it when that happened. Debbie or the current manager Scott? Never saw any boats tied to the docks to notice. Only thing I saw go in and out of their was PWC's.

Is there a restaurant back there? I've only been back into goose bay on the Tim's poker run years ago and that was it. Then I heard about a restaurant back there but then also heard about the no drinks on your boat while docked policy and instantly scrached it off the list.
Is it any good?

I went there half a dozen or more times last year, Food was good each time, a couple of times service was a bit slow, But I was in no hurry. I think most who have been there, will agree, years ago a lot of fun and good times was had there. It changed ownership a few times and then went through a rebuild. "Beak" probably could tell you more than I. I like it. it was hard for guys with the bigger boats to get in there, although I did see a 38 Scarab in there last year. maybe with the dredging it will be another good spot for all size boats. I never experienced the no drinking on your boat rule, while tied there, but heard that others had.

Here ya go Joey, the building on the penninsula is the resturant, we used to party it up there in the 80's to the south of it is the boatel, the creek filled in with silt many years ago as most of the creeks that way did. if you pan out you can see Ken Dixon's house and the remainder of his landing strip in front. I used to go to school with his son Billy. I would come up there if it was cleared, I do understand a dont drink policy if someone is just docking for fun, however if they are getting gas or using the store, then drink away, however prime dock space for the inn should be for paying customers only.
