Can it be raced? safe? noticed detachable canopy is qestions why I know the major history of it but nothing lately?
Looking for the 2010 season and looking at these as prospects the first is a little out of reach with our budget but could get sponsor to fudge a little more to get close enough to it. thanks John

The first boat was built to race. It was only owned by Outerlimits and now Steve Young. It orginally had just stock 525's in it and ran 110+mph. Then the whipples were added to stock motor and the boat ran like a bat out of hell at 140mph. The motors were gone through by JC Performance and dont have the stock Mercury parts anymore......they have good stuff. That bottom is one of the best out there!! You have to run that boat to understand how great it is! The boat was built to race so it has the best of everything safety wise from Outerlimits. Here it is in former state. The boat I believe was never actually raced.....just poker run'd. This would be the boat to race IMHO over Triple X. Triple X is a great boat and has only been owned by Outerlimits and Jim Wiley who currently owns it. That boat has gone 160+. When you get an Outerlimits the race boat is the same as one the everyday person would walk in and buy. How that SV40 sits it how it would be race or pleasure. If you need anymore info just let me know,

Uhmmm... The everyday person doesn't just walk in and buy an Outerlimits.... just sayin.. If I ever win the lottery, there's going to be a 52SL with trip 1350's behind the F650.
