Our stuff seems so low tech.

Our stuff seems to low tech when you compair it to things like this! 20+ knotts upwind in 10 or so knotts of breeze. Not bad.

I love how they balance that thing against the wind so that hardly any of the hull is actually in the water. The captain just tells the crew where to sit or stand for balance.

It's also very difficult to get some time on the water, even with a tri hull with a strong offshore breeze and calm seas. Love those boats! fast as he&&!

They work like iceboats. Without a lot of physics, with low drag the boats sail on whats called "apparent wind" that being they essentially generate their own wind allowing them to go much faster than true wind speed.
