I have done a lot of research into the 260 prop size. I own a Stinger 260 and am presently running three blade 19x23 pitch props. It is a bit lazy getting out of the hole (nothing to really complain about though) but it has great top end and the rpms are at around 4700-4900 or so, depending on how many people are in the boat.

I did some research and have come to the conclusion that four blade stainless 19 x 21's should work the best for my setup. Since the 83 is almost the same as the 87 I own, I would say try them out for size.
I am looking forward to summer weather as I have already ordered my set of props for this coming season. I'll let you know how it works out.

had the exact same experiance, I ran 23's on my 260 and really liked them. it ran sixty at wot and cruised all day long at fifty turning right around 4K rpm.

heres my old Scorp, dont forget the vid clips at the bottom of the page
