Cool Diversion Canal to Manchac Saturday 2/19?

Well, the great thing about living in the south is we get a few opportunities to run our boats in the off season. Tomorrow (Saturday) a few of us are going to meet at Blind River bar and make a run. I was thinking lunch at Middendorf's but whatever. Weather calls for 68 degrees and winds under 10 mph. I know for sure my 38' Hustler, Reuben's 38' Formula, and Bobby's 38' Fountain. If anyone wants to blow the cobwebs out dust off your boat and come take a ride.

The weather was nice but the water is so cold it felt a lot cooler out in the lake than it did sitting at the house. We ran to Middendorfs and had lunch. The weather man had the 6 mph wind all wrong. It was blowing more like 20 mph. Even the Blind River was whitecapping and the lake was running 2' and closer to 3' out in the middle. Not the smooth run I was expecting but still felt great to get out on the water.

Can't wait for some warm weather.....
