Default Bravo 1 Shift Interrupter Switch bracket question.

I'm looking into buying a shift bracket for my Bravo 1 drive. I talked to a guy who is selling one. He said Bravo 1 do not need Shift Interrupter Switch.Just use the bracket. Is this right?

Doesn't need a shift interrupter like for an Alpha but probably do need limit switches to prevent starting the motor in fwd or reverse.
