20th Year Wave Runner Endurance Ride with the Water Warriors- supporting SOMI
Hello everyone,
I am here to spread the news about the Water Warriors.
We are a group of individuals, from many walks of life who get together every July to partake in a 350 mile wave runner ride from Mackinac Island to Harsens Island. This is the 20th year of our organization and we would love to make it huge, as many of our senior riders will be leaving us soon and we need to get some young blood to join our group.
Dates of this ride are July 26th-July 30, starting in Macinac Island on the 26th. We ride to support the Special Olympics of Michigan and raise money with many fundraisers throughout the year. It is up to each rider to raise $1800 which covers fuel cost, some meals and usually 1 hotel room.
This is a wonderful event, if anyone has any family or friends who partake in the Special Olympics or who suffer from mental or physical disabilities, it is easily understood how much this means to the consumer. We have many olympians come out to every stop and their smiles are contagious and is what keeps up coming back every year. We are their heroes!
