Hey, im looking at a 97 Baja hammer, 454, great cond, im looking at getting it for $12000, can anyone let me know if thats a good price or not.

350 orig hours. Three grand or so in the stereo aswell.

that's a pretty good deal. expect to have to repower it in about a hundred hours. try to get the service records too

why do you say expect to repower 450hrs on a 454 isnt that many seen many with over a 1000 hrs still running strong. and its his boat he was asking about his asking price if it was to high.

I thought 350 hrs was pretty low for the boats age, Im not too sure about rebuilding the 454 after 450hrs, its a stock merc so it should go longer then that. Thanks for all the info though.

just saying to expect the worst case scenario just in case. it really depends how hard he's run it. no one selling anything will ever admit to running the balls off it ;-)
