Question Gas tank size on Twister 24? (pics added)

Hey guys,

I just bought a 1990 Twister 24 closed deck with outboard (I understand this particular one was originally an outboard version) and I am wondering if anyone knows how many gallons the gas tank on this model would be?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the reply. I am getting some conflicting info as some have told me it might be up to 100 gallons. But based on my eyeballed measurements...it looks like it would be about 50 gallons. You can see the rearmost part of the tank in the hatch area in the back of the boat...it starts there and is about 2 feet wide and 1 foot deep or so and it runs up to the entrance of the cabin. The reason I am trying to figure it out is because I am not sure how much gas is in the tank right now and I want to mix in the oil at the correct ratio. Maybe the only way to know for sure is to siphon out the fuel and fill 'er up again??

Thanks again.

if one cubic foot equals 7.5 gallons and your tank is 1x1x6, then i'd estimate 50 gallons, however my 24 condor held 110 gallons....

Thanks again for the replies....I removed the sending unit and was able to have a look inside the tank. It appears the tank is in fact about or just over 50 gallons. I had the tank cleaned/flushed, which it turns out was not really needed because the tank was in great shape. Tank was a little over 3/4 full....Threw in 1 gallon of oil for 1:50 mix....took out the boat and it was a tad rich but ran great!!

I'm sure all were a little different. Mine only had a 40-50 gallon tank and was a 1990 also. Great boat! Any pics of of your Twister?
