Before I would ever supercharge an Ilmore marine engine I would talk to the actual people at Ilmore!
They know that engine inside out and they would probably share their thoughts with respect to reliability and practicality of the possible conversion.
You know they could probably either rework your engine up to their 710-725HP level or sell you the required parts and pieces and give you more power without the supercharging.
Just a thought.

The current 650/725 engines are an entirely new generation. Ilmor may have some decent trade-in allowances, but since sales are picking up, they may not be looking for deals so much any more.
My instinct tells me that your best shot would be to upgrade your 625 to the 7-10 specification. It's probably pretty simple.

I do a lot with the Vipers and am running a Gen 3 viper that is over 1000hp to the wheels with a supercharger. That is the engine that most of the Ilmor's are based on. The builder that did my enigine specializes in supercharged Vipers. That is on 91 oct

Alexi builds great motors from what I hear. The 1300 in his ads is the most beautiful motor I've ever seen(but I'm a chrome freak). What blower does he use for the Ilmor?

This is what I was thinking, here in Charlotte, UGR (underground racing) does great work and specializes in Viper motors. Also in Florida, Heffner is pretty reputable.
