All the talk of fastest hull etc got me wondering. Throw enough HP and $$ at a cinderblock and you can make it fast. I think the true measure of how fast a hull is would be to compare speeds with equal power. I know there are lots of variables beside just the engines, but I am just curious about the best speeds seen with black power.

I'll start with the low side of things. My 38' resin bucket has had a best of 69.2gps with 1/2 tanks and light on gear, 2-3'chop, maybe 65 degrees out.

79mph with 2/3rd tanks, 2 people, full gear, 10 gallons of water in salt with mild chop.

Twin step 35 Lightning with 1.50 XR's spinning 28 Bravo One's stock.

82 mph 2ft chop, half tank 2 people

01 Sunsation 32 Dominator bblades 28 bravo 1's

The 21 Suthpen Did Over 80mph With A Single 496ho

83mph on gps twin 496ho's with 30p Bravo I

72.8mph 08' Sunsation 288 MCOB 1-2 chop 55 degrees , single 496HO

73 and small change GPS regularly.
'02 353 loaded with options, gear, and I always have plenty of fuel on board.

Has run 75 a couple times.

24 Superboat, 496HO, 28P Bravo 1 @ 5000 RPMs. I get a consistent 77-78, sometimes a little more.

Friend has an 05 382/496HO's and ran a best of 72 on E....Labbed 26's on the rev limiters.

i see about 84 with about 4 people and 3/4 tank full. I have bravo X's with 30p.
