Default 300XS - Yes or No?

I need to make a decision and quickly...

I have a Spectre 30 with 300 Promax's. The Promax's are getting old (500+ hours on them, maybe 600, or even 700).

Boating season is almost here and I'm seriously thinking about trading in the Promax's on a pair of new 300XS's. Other options are rebuilding the Promax's, Simonizing the Promax's, or just run them until they're done.

Any reason I shouldn't buy the new 300XS?

Help please...

Mike

A few people I know have had issues blowing powerheads, but they have always been warrantied, no questions asked, problem is the re-break in time at 50MPH.

The question is if you do the rebuild and will you have the money left to repair the motor when it blows a gear case or a piston, which we all know will happen. My money would be on the XS with more funds for fun/fuel and warranty.
