Some love them, some hate them. I read a article not too long ago about Steve Stepp saying how much bad things a ventilated V-bottom causes in racing offshore. He claimed they hook when turned hard, barrell roll easier and also claims them to be "unsafe". Is there any truths to these statements? If so why are so many V-bottom companies incorporating them into the designs of there own boats? Is there any factual information that proves a ventilated V-bottom is faster then a padded V? All things created equal? Im curious to know some of your guys thoughts on this subject, specially guys that have built around these platforms. T2x specially you if you see this. Thanks for your time.

Steps are part of performance boating these days. My resin bucket only has steps going into the cabin. But I can tell you that performance boating in general is extremely dangerous... Your wallet and liver will most definitly suffer negative consequences. Please back away from the dock and head for the nearest couch.
That is all.
