1967-1968 Aronow's boats
#1
Here is the 28' that I mentioned in my post #12 thread Ernest Kanzler.
It is not the twin engines with the drive shaft.
Nor is the single engine.
Hugh Hulman that sent me this picture in 2007 assumed the existence of a 28 'with a couple of Holman & Moody for Aronow which was later sold to a guy - John Mecome,Texas. Unusual for Aronow the race number #11.
I checked the 1967 season and the only race where I do not know the type of boat driven by Aronow is the Miami-Nassau, where he came 11th overall.

Another black & white pic of Maltese Magnum.I didn`t want your left arm anyway Olli.
From the files.
1965 - Big Bad Donzi,Aronow raced in Hurricane Classic Dec 10th.
1966 - Maltese Magnum,Aronow raced in Sam Griffith Feb 22nd,Gateway Marathon June 6th,Hennesey Long Island July 13th.Jake Trotter raced Miami-Nassau April 25th.
1967 - Dreadnought,Barry Cohen raced Bahamas 500 May 7th.
Same boat I think ,all with 2 x Holman & Moody = 1,000hp
Note in the pic Donzi written above Magnum 35.
No pic of Big Bad Donzi. No limbs offered for this pic!

We now have a list [Thanks to Bud, Mr Vinyl] from Magnum of most of the Magnum Sport, Sedan & Starfires built from day one till 1991. I believe this one was hull #9A, and it was a raceboat sent to Kiekhaefer. Most likely to be set up with this engine & drive combination.. This Sedan just looks way cool for a 60's Mag.
It's to bad it ended like this on fire.
