Default Project scarab 3 continues

Hey guys! been a long while!!! I had a house project get in between me and my boat project.

Looks like i have to make a new thread can't find my old one.

I'm just now hooking up hydraulics... put full dual ram in it. having some travelling hose maker guy come out to custom build the hoses.

While i'm waiting on that I'm rethinking props. I built the engines pretty strong. 542hp at 5300 rpm. Should i start by propping for wot at 5300rpm? i'm hoping to get the old slug to 70. I had the old 3 blade choppers (trs) and would like to keep them in the bilge as spares... i don't want to even fire it up with those on it. Another thing is that it's been completely gutted for rot repair. I probably trashed 500lbs in the bow and maybe another 500lbs in the engines (aluminum vs. steel). I read a couple posts to go with hydromotive QIV but one guy posted they scared the hell out of him with bow steer? really?

I would try the 26's first, I also have a set of 29" that Throttle up repitched to 28"and I have no trouble spinning them. call Julie at throttle up and she can size them for you. if you need anything else I am happy to help my Scarab Brothers!
