I have a carbureted 7.4 that I had some issues with hard starting last year. It has a mild cam and roller rockers. I am doing spring maintenance, and have already tuned up the ignition side of things. My question is, I want to rebuild the carb (Edelbrock 1410), can I use a regular rebuild kit, or do I need marine specific components.
A past owner did the engine work, so I don't know exactly what I have. All I know is it has what appears to be a street carb and dual plane aluminum intake. What do I need to do differently when rebuilding the carb? Thanks for the help!
