Does anyone have a main input shaft or coupler for a B&M 420 Blower, I need 2 sets?
I sent my B&M 420 blowers to The Blower Shop to get rebuilt, long story short I was running on borrowed time. The main shaft and coupler are shot. TBS was surprised the snout didn't break off they are that bad, normally the can weld and grind to repair them but mine are too far gone. Apparently these parts haven't been built in a long time.
I could switch out the snout but TBS said it almost just as cost effective to by new complete 8-71's, so that's not really an option.

Answered your PM. I think the 250's and 420's take the same intake manifold. I don't know how bad going back to 250's would hurt your performance but I have these 2 250's that I would be willing to sell you them whole or possibly just the bodies with snouts etc. while your waiting to get the 420's fixed. I'm in Philly so maybe we can work something out if you need to get your boat running for this season without buying new blowers. Call me, Bill Redmond 215-768-4172

Gerry,
Do you have a mchine shop in mind? In my area they are hard to find. I'm probably going to have to swap the snout over to TBS, swap out my pullies, belts and tensioners. It's cheaper than buying new blowers and I can probably sell them easier as a complete set-up when it's time to upgrade to 10-71's or whipples.

There is a shop in Stevensville, Michigan (SW Michigan shoreline) that builds and rebuilds roots style superchargers and they are very good. The owner has a degree in Aerospace engineering. I know they can rebuild or make anything that has to do with a roots...I know of a few guys who have sent in their B&M superchargers to DMPE for work. Here's the link... www.dmpeinc.com

I do not have anyone in mind. I worked with motorcycles for a long time and had one and two person shops manufacture parts.
Selling your 420's and buying new allows you to reuse the drives and other parts.
Have you tried contacting boostpower ( boostpower.com )?

Kamma,
I talked with Brian from DMPE for a while but they have nothing. Though he did say they were looking into building the replacement parts for B&M blowers but there not going to be available any time soon.
I'll do a search for the michigan machine shop
Gerry,
I tried Boostpower but they haven't called me back. Yea, I'm still on the fence about changing over to TBS. I found 1 set that is good. I pick up another set tomorrow that is used and the guy claims they have a little play. I guess We'll find out tomorrow how bad they are.
Thanx for the suggestions, keep them coming!
