Because a cam change alone won't gain hardly anything. Maybe about 1-2mph if you are lucky. You also need to have better exhaust with an upgraded cam or it will suck water back in.

I went with this cam and lifter kit from COMP. CL12-206-2. Im building a set of 5.7s for a 26 Rumrunner.
