My new boat has EGT Gauges??

My new 97 312 Formula has twin 454-efi w/Prochargers by Arizona Speed....what is the correct maximum EGT this rig should run? I am totally new to EGT, but know too high is BAD! But how high is too high??

Ok, I called Arizona Speed......They advised me 1450 degrees is the maximum to be allowed, so I am still safe.
End of story

my 500efi runs about 1400 max with out blowers,seem sa little high to me?

In my plane I jetted for 1200* thought the trouble's started at 1600*James
