Default 272 upgrades, cant wait to get wet! Pics!!!

Well finally decided to move forth with some upgrades on the 272. I swapped out power from a 454 to HP500, got rid of the rubber flappers and installed new tips, and made new gauge panel, trim switch panels and main switch panel to be covered with carbon fiber soon, also have the old carling rocker switches swapped out for the newer black carling switches with the logos on them... Have new livorsi gauges on the way in... Been a busy end of winter, almost ready to run.

Will have more pics as I get more things done!

"De" Rigging the old 454

Yanking the black motor! (I see a fellow OSO member there that I owe a big thanks too for the help!)

New motor ready to drop in!

500 Almost in!

500 All the way in!

Now what would be cool it to make a second panel that follows just around the gauges by about a 1/4". Paint that to match the colors of the boat. Kind of like a large trim ring.

Looks great! I need to update the dash of my 270.

That'll be next winter's project.

Made the panel, gauges are Livorsi, tons of places sell them in Sets like I bought, got all 7 gauges in one buy.

The carbon is just vinyl graphics, I didnt want to spend the money on the carbon overlay, if I have a problem I will do it next winter, as of right now, it looks great to me!

I can have a panel made for you for pretty cheap compared to new, if you can even find a new one.

PM if interested.
