Sonic hands down IMO better built and a much better rough water boat. Had a prowler loved it now have a 31 SS

Sonics shoe box joint is glassed, I believe the Donzi is bonded with plexus. At least I've seen one split there.

I dunno about the Prowler. The guy that owned my 26ZX before me now owns one. He seems to like it so maybe he will chime in.

I do know that the 26ZX is a good rough water boat for something that size. That is why I got mine. I run some fairly big power (900hp+) in my 26ZX and it handles it well. The Donzi is probably faster as it has a step hull. I have not heard of any Prowlers breaking the 100mph mark but anything is possible with enough power. If you are running in stuff that will break a 26ZX, you need a bigger boat.

I know he's looking at 26' boats, but if he's planning on running Michigan much I'ld look at something like that 31 Sonic listed above. I'm sure it'll take a much higher bid to buy than the first one bid. With the price of used boats currently, you can buy alot more boat for your money! We ran our 26 Sonic alot on Michigan and it's really not enough boat for that lake, and given some conditions "nothing" is! There are alot of nice boats in the low 30' range that will handle that lake better. Steve

I know of a 31 sonic with 721HP HP500 engines no expense spared on them.Only a few hours on them. New headliner in cabin. Powder coated everything. Price can not be beat for what you get.

Located in TX.under 60K
